Puss in Boots

On Wednesday we were entertained by a very talented cast of three actors who performed a unique, hilarious version of Puss in Boots. Clever Isla answered one of their questions at the end.
Which part did you enjoy most?

The Dangers of Maraetai Wharf by Pippa

The Dangers of Maraetai Wharf

I think wharf  jumping should be banned.

People could get paralysed by hitting their heads or  parts of their bodies. You could end up in a wheelchair.

You could break a bone/bones and have to go to hospital.

Dive at public pools off diving boards where it is safe.

You could drown if it is too deep and you can’t swim.

You can cut your foot open on sharp objects.

Should We Be Able To Jump Off Wharves...Persuasive Writing by Liam

Should we be Able to Jump off Wharves?

I think we shouldn’t be able to jump off wharves.

When you jump off you could land next to a jellyfish or a sea creature that stings you!

The water might not be clear and there could be rocks and sharp objects, then your foot would have a BIG cut or a scratch on it!

Another reason is when you jump you could land on another person and both of you can get BROKEN bones and no one wants that!

If you have problems swimming you could DROWN! Plus you can just dive at a public swimming pool because it’s clear, there are lifeguards, there’s no rocks, shells, and also it’s not too deep!

It is very dangerous jumping off wharves unless you do it carefully!

Principal's Award goes to Emma

Congratulations to Emma for her great effort with all her learning. We hope you enjoy your new school in Papamoa. You will be missed by Room 18!
